About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Yard Person to join our team in Toowoomba (Immediate start available). You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation, maintenance, and cleanliness of our yard and equipment, ensuring everything is ready to support our active project sites and hire operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised yard environment
- Assist with loading and unloading plant, equipment, tools, and materials
- Movement of heavy equipment around the yard
- Conduct routine cleaning of machinery and plant equipment
- Carry out on hire/off hire inspections of equipment and generate reports
- Assist workshop and site teams with equipment preparation and delivery
- Comply with company safety standards and procedures
About You
- Experience in a similar yard, workshop, or construction support role
- Ability to work independently
- Current truck drivers licence (minimum Heavy Rigid)
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) highly regarded
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to operate various earthmoving equipment items (RII competencies desirable but not essential)
